Shutting Down Govt Work, But Keeping Parliament Open: Shiv Sena Takes a Dig at PM

  • The Shiv Sena took a jibe at PM Modi's appeals to practicing social distancing in view of coronavirus outbreak. 
  • Shiv Sena said, "Shutting down the govt work, but being adamant in keeping the Parliament session is certainly not aimed at keeping up the great democratic traditions."
  • It also advocated complete lock-down to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.
  • "Mumbai has to be completely shut and CM Uddhav Thackeray is taking steps in that direction," the party said.
  • It further added, "If our people stop spitting in public, then the cases of coronavirus will reduce by half."
