Uddhav Govt's R'Day Gift to the Poor, a Full Meal for Rs 10

  • The Uddhav government has started a 'Shiv Bhojna' for the poor and needy people in Maharashtra from 26 January.
  • Food will be available for Rs 10 per plate at 125 places in Maharashtra, the government will give a grant of Rs 40 per plate.
  • The state government will spend 6.4 crore rupees to start the pilot project, which will run for 3 months, under the Shiv Meal Scheme.
  • There will be two chapattis, one vegetable, rice and dal in the Shiv food plate, food will be available from 12 noon to 2 pm in the canteen.
  • The actual price of food has been fixed at Rs 50 in cities and Rs 35 in rural areas, only Rs 10 will be charged from customers.
