“Northeast development model for Jammu and Kashmir”
Continuing its efforts to reach out to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Union ministers who are visiting the region, reiterated that J&K is an integral part of India.
The ministers also maintained that the valley would be developed on the lines of what the Centre had done in the northeast in the past five years.
Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy, said the govt is focusing on industrialisation in Kashmir and corruption was the biggest hurdle to the region’s development.
The setting up of an Anti-Corruption Bureau will ensure that Central funds reach the last man in the line, he said.
As part of the Government of India’s outreach programme in Jammu and Kashmir, 36 ministers are scheduled to visit the region.
